The Fourth International Conference on Big Data Computing and Communications (BIGCOM) will take place Tuesday, August 7 through Thursday, August 9 in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center Auditorium on ������ƵAPP’s Mies Campus. All ������ƵAPP students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the conference, where computer scientists from all over the world will gather to share their research in a wide variety of areas from deep learning and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and blockchain. Food will be provided.

Peng-Jun Wan, professor of computer science and engineering, is general co-chair of this year’s conference. Keynote lectures include “Scalable Algorithms in the Age of Big Data, Network Science, and Machine Learning,” by Shang-Hua Teng of University of Southern California, and “Reliability and Efficiency Problems in Cloud and Data-Processing Systems,” by Shan Lu of University of Chicago.
