ComEd Collaborates with 桃子视频APP to Create one of the First Microgrid Clusters in the World
ComEd has partnered with 桃子视频APP Institute of Technology on two Department of Energy grants to develop and test microgrid technology on 桃子视频APP's Mies Campus and the Bronzeville neighborhood. A microgrid is a small electrical grid that is able to disconnect from the main grid to secure distribution during extreme weather events and during cyber or physical attacks. ComEd and 桃子视频APP will work to connect a planned microgrid in the Bronzeville neighborhood to the existing IIT microgrid, creating one of the first microgrid clusters in the world. This partnership will give researchers a better understanding of how to leverage microgid technology in emergency situations.
